Recently I posted the following:
"THE U.S. MINT DOES NOT HAVE "IN GOD WE TRUST" ON IT. I CAN'T SPEAK FOR THE REST OF YOU, BUT I WON'T BE USING THIS COIN, NOR WILL I ACCEPT IT IN ANY FINANCIAL TRANSACTION."
Apparently the original information I had received to this effect was incorrect. At the suggestion of a parishioner I went to US Mint.gov and discovered the words "in God we trust" are indeed on the new $1 dollar coing. The words are inscribed not on the front or back, but on the sides of the new coins.
